A note from company founder, Stephen Ekstrom

Relationships power the tourism & hospitality industries. The value that comes from people, products and concepts relating with each other has percolated into every conversation, presentation and project we've had since starting this company nearly ten years ago.

That's why I want you to be one of the first to know that we're making some changes. Our name, website, social media, messaging and focus are all changing to better reflect the way we help our clients succeed. What we're saying should not be a surprise to those who have worked with us. Our mission is only a refined version of what we've always known well about ourselves: we offer relationship-powered solutions that drive tourism. We create strategies that allow concepts, people, products, destinations, businesses and eager audiences relate better to and with each other. We are the Relate Strategy Group.

So what’s changed?

Not much and a lot at the same time. We're bigger and better - our relationship-driven approach to connecting destinations, experiences and suppliers with more visitors remains, but is now a thriving team of strategists, educators, marketers, representatives and communicators. We now have 5 talented individuals and a growing portfolio that we can be proud of. Our name and logo have evolved to emphasize how our clients benefit from our ability to relate strategically. Our growth has helped us realize our focus and expand the breadth of expertise that our relationships represent.

From training sales & operations teams in Amish country to getting our clients high-volume travelers from China - it's felt like we do a bit of almost everything. That said, we have seen a few trends surface, and came to recognize that we are particularly fantastic in a few specific areas of market development. It's what we're calling our "pillars," and what is ultimately the driving force behind the solutions we provide. What are these pillars? I'm glad you asked!

If you want to learn more about what each one means, I encourage you to explore our new website where you can read more and check out the supporting case studies. We've updated our eBooks on follow up, 7-minute appointment tips and the industry glossary. We've also posted a few new blogs, focused on the pillars as we aim to push marketing practices that helps build more resilient tourism product, sustainable visitor traffic and more satisfied teams. I encourage you to pop in to check them out.

We are incredibly proud of the work that we do at the Relate Strategy Group and thankful for the people, partnerships, clients and relationships that have accompanied us in our growth. We owe this update to all of you.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out or schedule a call! Until then, keep an eye on Relate as we continue our growth and continue our campaign to be the best tourism marketing team around.
